I wasn't allowed to take pictures inside of St. Paul's Cathedral but it was gorgeous. Most of the burial monuments are to war heroes, and it was neat to see that they have honored their war heroes as much or more than their kings and queens. They also had a lovely chapel to the fallen American soldiers from the World Wars. The ceilings sparkled with mosaics in gold and blue of the Savior and angels. We also got to climb up to the whispering gallery. You can whisper and the curved walls will carry the sound clearly to someone on the other side of the dome. The Golden Gallery was closed so we couldn't go all the way to the top, but we went to the part just below the dome, and that was pretty cool.
One of the views from the top...
I love Charles Dickens, so seeing this museum was really neat for me. I will have to go back and read some of his stuff again. Also, he apparently had a pet raven. Who knew?
One his personal copies that he used for readings in his home.
